CE extends its interest in conservation activities and has intended to obtain a conservatory license to allow it to undertake conservatory measures at its wildlife reserves at interior Sindh particularly of Deer, Peacock and others because of the sharp decline in their population primarily due to illegal poaching and loss of their habitat due to deforestation and urban expansion.
Contribution to Conservations
CE has planned to invest in extinct cycads and palms by sourcing certain species and planting them in botanical garden. CE is working closely with Karachi University Botanical Gardens & different farmers in Pattoki and Changa Manga which are well known conservation regions in Punjab. CE has extended its support to source valuable & critically endangered species of Palms, Yuccas & Encephalartos (Cycads) from South Africa and other countries for exhibition, study & research purposes in Karachi University’s Botanic Gardens.
Cycads and palms are of same value and go back to prehistoric Dinosaurs age.
